Moss and Hudson

Congratulations to Moss and Hudson for achieving their fantastic weight reduction. They have both now reached their target weights. Moss started his weight reduction program a whole year ago. He was presented to veterinary surgeon James, as his owners were concerned by his weight gain and lethargy. A full clinical evaluation was performed, including blood tests to rule out any underlying medical reason for his condition. Once it was established that there were no underlying medical problems, Moss was referred to the weight clinic with our veterinary nurse Lizzie. His starting weight was over 50kg, but with dietary management,regular support from Lizzie and a huge commitment from his owners, Moss has managed to lose over 13kg and achieve his target weight of 37kg. Hudson joined his friend at weight clinic following a knee injury. Hudson had received treatment by a specialist orthopaedic surgeon and weight reduction was essential to reduce the strain on the joint and to help with mobility. Hudson's starting weight was 42kg, but after 7 months of attending weight clinic, a special diet and hydrotherapy, he has now also reached his target weight of 34kg, an impressive 8kg reduction.Well done boys-and your dedicated owners!
