| The
decision to get any pet should never be taken lightly and that is doubly
true when considering getting a new puppy. Although there are all the
benefits of owning a dog such as companionship, happiness and even exercise,
the responsibility is huge. A new puppy requires a lot of time, effort,
patience and of course money. With so much to consider it is always a
big decision, even for a vet, but I am happy to announce a new arrival.
Now that I feel very settled, in both my new job and the area, I’ve
decided after careful consideration to get a puppy. I’d like to
introduce you all to Nora, a 10 week old Doberman puppy
who is the new lady in my life! Over the next few months I’ll try
to keep you up-to-date with how she is growing up and give advice on how
to deal with some of the issues that need to be addressed in order to
raise a happy and healthy puppy. Nora has settled in very well, but these
first two weeks have been very tiring for me. It’s like having a
baby. She seems to have unlimited energy especially around bedtime. That
said, she is very well behaved and the toilet training is coming on well
with only a few little accidents. I hope that when you see her out on
walks, in a few weeks’ time (after she has finished her vaccinations)
you’ll stop and say hello and welcome her as part of the Midforest
team. |
