VACCINATION - Cats

We recommend that you vaccinate your cat against Feline Calici Virus, Feline Rhinotracheitis - the two viruses that cause Cat Flu, Feline Panleucopenia (Feline Enteritis) which can be a fatal disease in young or old cats and Feline Leukaemia virus.

A course of vaccinations is usually given starting from 9 weeks and a second injection is given 3-4 weeks later. Then a booster vaccination is given annually at which time a full health check will take place. This is a good time to make sure you are up-to-date with flea and worm control for the forthcoming year.

Regular health checks mean any illness is more likely to be picked up at an earlier stage when it may be easier to treat.

Believe it or not, your cat visiting the vet once a year is the equivalent of you only visiting your doctor every 5 years!
